Bear's Barn

Architecture, Residential

Remodelled House, Hampshire.

A 19th century cottage situated in Hartley Wintney village has been subjected to various extensions and refurbishments over the years. The owners kept the charming character and style of the house, bringing more value to the original with details such as: exposed beams, flat panel doors without decorative features, wooden farmhouse style table and painted walls in natural colours that reflect mother nature.

The final proposal is designed to be of a proportionate size in relation to the host dwelling. The proposal is a first floor extension over existing flat roofs, designed to provide the 5th bedroom with en-suite and to enlarge the master bedroom with an en-suite and a spacious dressing room.

Materials have been specified to match those of the existing and surrounding properties. The design minimises the impact of the proposal, and will allow the extension to blend into the existing property.
