An expert witness is an expert who uses their knowledge, training and experience in a specific area to help assist in legal cases. Expert witnesses are required to evaluate the issues using technical property knowledge thereby producing an expert witness report that provides an understanding to the issue arising.

Using our knowledge of property we can provide our experience to assist you with the litigation matter from complex construction project disputes to domestic disrepair issues.

How we do it

We will review all available material, undertake a detailed inspection of the property and produce a CPR (Civil Procedure Rules) compliant report.  The report is based on factual and technical information.

 

We can attend formal hearings and present oral evidence under cross examination where required.

 

Very often our expert evidence can help achieve settlement ahead of more costly and protracted court hearings.

 

Expert Witness instructions are undertaken in accordance with the RICS Guidance Surveyors Acting as Expert Witnesses.
