Since joining SHW in 2021, Matthew has been promoted to Head of London Building Consultancy in 2022 and is responsible for its growth and development.

Matthew has a wealth of experience, having started his surveying career in 2003 and held senior roles in several Building Consultancy practices. His client base includes Commercial, Private Residential and Public Sector bodies.

He became Chartered in 2008 and continues to be heavily involved in training and mentoring staff.

He has particular specialisms in Design / Specification and Contract Administration, and has overseen complex works programmes to a Capital Spend of £16M.

Matthew is well respected in the industry and manages a number of key SHW client accounts, including providing advice on development opportunities, planned maintenance programmes and reactive maintenance strategies.  

He also holds the Advanced Professional Award in Expert Witness Evidence. He regularly provides reports and has given oral evidence in a number of Tribunal Cases.
