Sanctions Checks now applicable for all landlords and tenants

In the ever-changing world of residential lettings, as of 14th May, Sanctions Checks (SC) now need to be carried out on all tenants and landlords – for every letting and tenancy renewal.

This means the for every new tenancy signed – even for existing tenants - SC will need to be run again for each transaction. In addition, where a landlord is a company or charity, SC now needs to be carried out on all Directors/Owners, trustees or beneficiaries for each letting.
