TOWER LONDON STRIDES INTO CAMDEN

Commercial, Retail & Leisure

Hip footwear retailer Tower London is due to open its fifth store today (20 September) in the heart of Camden.

The Shoreditch-based independent chain let the two-storey, 2,000  sq ft unit at 210 Camden High Street on a new 10-year lease. It trades from four other stores in Brick Lane, Wood Green and Walthamstow, selling mid-upper market brands targeted at a younger demographic.

Richard Pyne of SHW, who advised the private landlord on the deal, said Tower London had wanted to get a toehold in Camden for some time.

"Rents have traditionally been high in Camden and the supply of vacant units notoriously low, but this has changed in the last few years. When the former Office unit in the high street became available, it was the perfect size and location for Tower London and, with so much competition for the retailer, they were able to negotiate a favourable rental package."
