The Building Consultancy Team at SHW undertook a comprehensive programme of external repairs, maintenance, redecoration, and roof repairs at Astaire House, located at 89 Sloane Street, London SW1X 9PB.
Product Overview
This work was carried out on behalf of Cadogan Estates Ltd, with the primary aim of preserving the property’s structural integrity and enhancing its appearance.
Challenges and Solutions
One of the main challenges faced during the project was the difficult access to the rear of the building. To overcome this, the team employed abseilers, who were able to carry out both repairs and decorative works efficiently and safely, ensuring that all areas received the necessary attention despite access limitations.
Specialist Works
At the front of the property, the steps leading to the lower ground floor required particular attention. These steps were clad in 20mm Bateig Beige Spanish Limestone Slab, carefully selected to match the Yorkstone used in the existing front steps, maintaining a consistent and cohesive appearance throughout the entrance area.
Outcome
The project, valued at £70,000, was successfully completed on schedule, within budget, and to an exceptionally high decorative standard. The attention to detail and effective problem-solving delivered outstanding results, demonstrating SHW’s commitment to excellence in building consultancy.
