"I joined SHW in October 2025 in the Brighton Professional team, which has introduced me to the world of valuations and lease advisory. More recently, I’m excited to be preparing to start my MSc in Real Estate at the University of the Built Environment — a programme SHW is supporting me with alongside my day-to-day work.

SHW not only provides me with study leave to help balance my professional responsibilities and academic commitments but also offers a structured mentorship scheme that pairs me with an experienced senior colleague. This programme offers me a space for open discussion about the challenges I encounter while managing both my work and MSc studies.

The course will cover key areas such as valuation, investment, planning, and property law, all of which closely relate to the work I undertake as a surveyor. I’m looking forward to developing my technical understanding and being able to bring a fresh perspective back into my role as the course progresses.

Balancing full‑time work and postgraduate study will definitely be a challenge, but it’s one I’m excited to take on.’
