Planning Permission granted for prominent site in Battersea

SHW are delighted to confirm our expert Planning team have secured planning permission on behalf of our client, for a new 9-unit scheme in Battersea.
The site within the London Borough of Wandsworth, sits prominently on Battersea High Street and has been derelict for decades. Previously the site received planning permission for 8 units, however SHW were approached by our client with the brief of obtaining a 9th Unit.
Our team partnered with HWO Architects who designed this attractive and modern looking development. There were a couple of notable challenges which the team overcame, covering flood risk and the potential impact on the neighbours.

"The brief was challenging but necessary in order to make the development viable. We worked well with Wandsworth Council to arrive at a development which accorded with their planning policies.
The result is a high-quality design by HWO Architects that will enhance this section of Battersea High Street. In addition, this new scheme will end decades of dereliction on this prominent site sitting within a bustling and vibrant part of South London".
