Planning has just been granted for Midpoint 23, a new 86,000 sq ft warehouse and light industrial development at Pease Pottage, south east of Crawley. Arcus PCD are poised to start construction on the seven-unit scheme in the new year, ready for occupation in Q3 2021. SHW is joint agent.
Elsewhere, Amazon has signed for 41,524 sq ft at North Gatwick Gateway, the five-unit industrial and warehousing development by Goya/Hillwood is now 53% let just months after practical completion.
Crawley town centre had a shot in the arm with work commencing this summer on the town hall redevelopment. SHW is sole agent on the scheme which will see the 1960s town hall building replaced with a new, 40,000 sq ft civic centre and 77,000 sq ft of commercial offices.
The £150m phased scheme by Crawley Borough Council and Westrock will also include 182 flats overlooking a new public square.
