Tungsten Properties, one of the leading mid-market industrial and warehouse developers in the UK, has achieved planning permission from Horsham District Council for a 24,000 sq ft detached warehouse building at Oakwood Business Park in Southwater, near Horsham and Gatwick, West Sussex.

Oakwood Business Park is home to MacFarlane Package, RSPCA Assured, BlueLeaf and Neville & More. The 1.77 acre site is one of the final plots at the Park. Construction of the new industrial and logistics unit will commence in June 2019 and will be suitable for B1 light industrial and B8 storage and distribution operations. It will also provide a secure yard to provide car parking and landscaping.

Jeff Penman, managing director, Tungsten Properties commented: "The new warehouse will offer much-needed supply to the burgeoning demand in the A23/A24 corridor area, south of Gatwick airport, providing a future occupier and their employees with a high-quality mid-box industrial unit."

M1 Agency and SHW have been appointed as letting agents.

Tim Hardwicke, Partner for SHW added: "It is great to see speculative development coming to Horsham. We have just started the marketing and are already receiving good interest being in discussions with two potential occupiers seeking to expand in the area."

Pegasus Planning and HTC Architects acted on behalf of Tungsten Properties.
