New Surrey Police HQ & operational base site purchased - Leatherhead

Surrey Police will create a new headquarters and operational base at the ten acre ex-Electrical Research Association (ERA) site in Leatherhead following a successful £20.5million purchase. SHW have been involved with the site for a number of years since the site was bought by Allois Properties in 2015 and subsequently being involved in an agency capacity on various individual buildings and providing general advice on the site.



SHW Business Space Partner Mark Skelton said: “Allois explored a number of options for the site including a part-residential scheme and also redevelopment for industrial but we are very pleased it has found a new lease of life with Surrey Police. Being close to the M25, A3 and A24, road connections are excellent, which made Leatherhead an ideal choice.

 

“Supply of land for residential and commercial development is scarce and we would very much welcome owners of other sites to make contact to see if we can assist them in maximising any opportunity.”
