All systems go in Newhaven

The latest block at Eastside Business Park in Beach Road, Newhaven has just been completed providing 20,620 sq ft of new industrial space capable of subdivision into smaller units.

The latest two blocks at Eastside Business Park in Beach Road Newhaven have been completed providing 36,662 sq ft of new industrial space capable of subdivision into smaller units.


With 50% already let or under offer and strong interest being shown in the remaining units, the developers Westcott Leach have started building the final block in the second phase of the development which will provide a further 23,873 sq ft.


The occupiers secured so far are from Newhaven and further afield with companies from outside of Newhaven being attracted by the scope for a rates free period with the development being inside the Newhaven Enterprise Zone.


Eastside was one of the first speculative new-build sites on the south coast, just the kind of development SHW has been championing for many years.


James Bryant of letting agents SHW comments: “Despite the current political uncertainty caused by the forthcoming election and Brexit, SHW are receiving two or three enquiries weekly for this attractive new development. Interest has been seen from a broad range of users who are keen to secure new premises which are in short supply generally. Eastside offers occupiers the scope to fit out their units to suit their specific requirements with the units all being let in a shell condition.”
