As we wave goodbye to summer we can now reflect on a busy season of deals across commercial leasehold & freehold properties, from disposals to development opportunities.

Reflecting on the period, Matt Morris, Senior Surveyor, commented "I'm pleased to have been involved in several successful commercial property transactions across South London and Surrey over the summer period.   • F1 Saffron Square Tower, Croydon: After remaining unoccupied for several years, SHW successfully acted on the disposal of the long leasehold interest to a medical occupier.

 

  • 137 Brighton Road, Coulsdon: A ground floor retail unit extending to approximately 923 sq ft let in July, making this SHW’s second retail letting in Coulsdon in 2025. SHW previously acted on the disposal of the building in 2022.

 

 

  • 73-77 Gloucester Road, Croydon: The property comprised of three buildings, all currently leased to a single tenant. With the lease nearing expiry, the asset offered a range of future opportunities, including re-letting or potential residential conversion, subject to obtaining the necessary planning permissions. The property sold in June to a local investor / developer.

 

 

  • 755 London Road, Thornton Heath boasted a newly built retail unit forming part of a smart seven-unit residential development. This premises let to an independent operator running a Portuguese convenience store and coffee shop.
