Development
The part-office, part-industrial building was quickly identified by our team as a potential residential development opportunity.
The property was advertised on a subject-to-planning basis. A transaction was agreed with exchange of contracts due in March-2020 and completion to follow upon grant of planning permission – however the chosen developer withdrew from the transaction, citing too great risk and market uncertainty in relation to Covid-19.
Following this, our client opted with our advice, to change the disposal strategy and seek unconditional offers to arrange a sale in short timescales. We re-engaged with interested buyers and agreed an unconditional sale within four weeks from receiving these new instructions.
“The advice and support received throughout the process was exemplary. Despite the considerable challenges of Brexit and Covid-19, Richard Pillow professionally negotiated a successful sale. We are delighted with the outcome.
From overseeing all viewings to securing multiple conditional and unconditional offers, from negotiating with potential purchasers to navigating the choppy waters of the legal process – Richard communicated honestly and transparently with all involved and was instrumental in achieving a successful outcome
We were kept fully informed regarding progress at all times in a spirit of complete trust and confidence.
We have no hesitation in recommending the services of SHW.”
