SHW - Invest in Croydon 2026: Turning Opportunity into Delivery

Business Space, Industry News, Investment, Professional services

Croydon's investment story is entering a new chapter. After four years of rebuilding confidence and attracting more than £1.2 billion of inward investment, the conversation is shifting from vision to delivery. That transition will take centre stage at the Invest in Croydon Conference 2026, taking place on 12 November at TBXH, bringing together investors, developers, businesses, institutions, landowners and public sector leaders to explore the next phase of growth across the borough.

As one of London's most significant regeneration locations, Croydon benefits from a strategic position between Central London and the Gatwick Region Airport Economic Zone, alongside excellent transport links, a skilled workforce and a pipeline of major development opportunities. With projects including the transformation of Croydon town centre, the redevelopment of Selhurst Park and London Gatwick's Northern Runway progressing, the foundations for long-term growth are firmly in place.

The conference programme has now been announced and will feature keynote addresses from Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon, discussing the theme From Opportunity to Delivery, and Pierre-Hugues Schmit, CEO of London Gatwick, who will outline the airport's role in driving regional economic growth.

Other highlights include a panel exploring Greater Croydon's position as the capital's southern growth gateway, a session examining the borough's future investment opportunities, and an update from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield on The Croydon Project, one of the most significant town centre regeneration schemes in London.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to take part in a condensed investor tour, attend a Meet the Planner session and join discussions focused on the visitor economy, connectivity and skills development. The day will conclude with a networking reception, providing further opportunities to build relationships and explore future partnerships.

Richard Plant, Partner and Head of Agency at SHW, said: "Croydon has emerged as one of the UK's most compelling regeneration and investment stories. With significant public and private sector commitment already secured, the focus is now on delivery and creating the partnerships needed to unlock the borough's full potential. The Invest in Croydon Conference provides an important platform for bringing together the organisations and individuals who can help shape the next phase of growth."
