In the last year, we have achieved pivotal milestones to be proud of, such as:

 

• Maintaining our ISO14001 accreditation

• Completing our second year of reporting and Planet Mark Business certification

• Voluntarily reporting our energy consumption against SECR standards

• Reporting our social value to increase our contribution to the communities we operate in

• Installing smart metering across all corporate SHW offices for effective data monitoring and early intervention

• An increase of 19.64% of our corporate offices powered by REGO-backed renewable energy

 

In 2025, the Sustainability Team continue to advance SHW’s sustainability journey by raising awareness and delivering practical improvements across our offices.

 

During the first quarter, we worked with our Green Champions to complete energy audits and identify quick wins to reduce emissions. Food caddy bins were also rolled out in line with the new Recycling Scheme.

 

The team expanded in October 2025 with the addition of a Sustainability Assistant, to support colleague/client engagement and progression of emissions-reduction initiatives.

 

In December 2025, the installation of Automatic Meter Readers (AMRs) were installed in our offices; Brighton, Crawley/Gatwick, South London, Hampshire, London, South West London and West Sussex Coast to monitor/capture accurate electricity consumption and support the carbon reduction plan in 2026.

 

We continue to foster a culture of sustainability by integrating it into our induction process for new staff, raising awareness and keeping it at the forefront among existing staff through our dedicated ESG intranet page, which provides training and interactive presentations at quarterly staff seminars.

 

Together with our clients, their tenants, and stakeholders, we drive forward programmes that support business success and create meaningful environmental impact. We support our clients across a broad range of our existing services, embedding sustainability in:

 

• Property management/Facilities management

• Building surveying & Architecture

• Ratings & Valuation

• Agency

 

To meet the growing need for sustainable property services and ESG reporting requirements. This year we are ambitious in growing our services to support our clients at every stage.
