SHW have recently been active on a diverse range of sites across Sussex, resulting in planning consent for in excess of 500 new homes.
Q3 / Q4 2016 has seen successful marketing campaigns for urban brownfield developments such as Portland Road in Hove and Upperton Rd in Eastbourne. Early 2017 activity has focused on Greenfield rural locations in villages across East & West Sussex. Satisfied clients include:
• Private individuals
• Public sector bodies
• LPA Receivers
SHW Development Consultancy Partner Peter Coldbreath said: "There is a great hunger for development opportunities. However, there are also limitations on supply, and a need for sustainable development solutions amid uncertain macro-economic expectations. We expect positive market conditions to be maintained in the region as the demand and supply equation remains characterised by excess demand."
SHW Development Consultancy Partner Niral Patel said: "Since mid-2016 we have seen an upsurge in Development activity through options, promotions and exclusivity agreements, all requiring independent professional advice, whether acting for landowner or developer. Finding sites is only half the story. Our Town Planners are very effective at releasing value by achieving enhanced planning consents."
Associate Planner Alex Bateman said: "There is an inherent need for more and more housing across the region. Councils have had to actively engage with the market in releasing constrained sites to meet housing needs. Achieving sustainable development is still a national requirement and we work closely with a range of consultants to achieve this aim."
