SHW have been instructed to let a new industrial/warehouse unit which is being built - one with an emphasis on sustainability.

Gatwick 55 - to be built speculatively on the Rutherford Way, Crawley, near to Gatwick Airport - will comprise 56,000 sq ft of industrial / warehouse with the following green and energy saving credentials and building specification:

• EPC A, BREEAM very good rating
• 10.5m eaves height
• 50 kN/m2 floor loading
• 2 dock levellers
• 3 level access doors
• Up to 45m yard depth, self-contained

Gatwick 55 has been created by Goya Developments, the firm which has successfully developed more speculative schemes in the South East than anyone else in the UK over the last four years.

Tim Hardwicke, Partner and Head of Agency for SHW said: "We are delighted to be involved in such a forward-thinking development.

"The time is right for new speculative schemes, especially one of this nature. We expect interest to be strong over the timeframe of the build and are already talking seriously to two parties."
