About Michael


Michael graduated with a joint RTPI & RICS accredited master’s degree in Planning & Real Estate from the University of Manchester.  He is a licentiate member of the RTPI working towards completing his APC in order to become a chartered Urban Planner.

 

Michael has gained over 2 years of experience at SHW based between the London and Croydon offices. He has been involved in a wide number of projects and managed a large caseload of developments ranging from small to large scale. Michael has experience in the following:

 

  • Working in multi-disciplinary professional environments.
  • Preparation, submission and management of planning applications, and planning appeals.
  • Project management.
  • Small and large-scale, commercial and residential planning applications.
  • Domestic planning applications
  • Schemes that include heritage assets, appraisals of listed buildings and conservation areas.
  • Certificates of Lawfulness applications.
  • Understanding of the General Permitted Development Order and preparation, submission and management Prior Approval applications.
  • Strong understanding of the main procedural processes of the planning system, including the National Planning Policy Framework, the London Plan and local planning documents.
