SHW Business Space have completed the sale of two units comprising 17,000+ sq ft at the Sheddingdean Industrial Estate, Burgess Hill. Unit D2 (10,700 sq ft, above) and Unit G (6,500 sq ft) were both sold to owner occupiers.
A severe shortage of new stock in the area is a driver for higher prices and consequently higher rents,with increasingly limited choice for businesses wishing to locate to the area.
Tim Hardwicke, SHW Head of Business Space said: “Supply is tightening by the month and although there are a few sites where new units could be built by developers willing to meet the demand,they are facing planning delays which is frustrating both occupiers and developers. When the Mid-Sussex local plan is finally adopted itis hoped that the planning process may speed up.”
