American Express – East Sussex

Following presentation of Stiles Harold Williams market research to Amex, we were instructed to let 5,500 sq m of poor grade offices, held on a short lease, and on the edge of Brighton.  We introduced the building to the local Primary Care Trust and successfully let the surplus accommodation.

Stiles Harold Williams was invited to discuss Amex’s 40,000 sq m Sussex property portfolio and strategy.  We identified a modern, 3,600 sq m city centre building in Brighton for disposal as surplus to their need and we successfully let the property to a government appointed body.

Next, Amex asked Stiles Harold Williams to find offices for 600 staff in Brighton.  This resulted in us acquiring 4,200 sq m in the city and we are currently advising Amex on the acquisition of further offices in the same building.
